General
This first floor apartment facing the River Ouse on its west bank, located opposite Clifford’s Tower is in Block B (northern block), Emperors Wharf, Skeldergate. It is close to York city centre and is equipped with all modern conveniences and a private allocated parking space.
Access
Pedestrian access to Emperors Wharf is gained from Skeldergate, via a set of central steps rising to the ground floor entrance, which is to the north side of the circulation area.
Entrance
The entrance hall to Block B is accessed by the glazed entrance door into a lobby and then stairs to the first floor area.
Kitchen
The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped with modern white base and wall units, ceramic floor tiles and a dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, electric oven, electric hob, freezer, fridge and room heater.
Sitting Room
The sitting room is comfortable and reasonably spacious. The apartment faces onto the River Ouse providing superb views through full height windows over to Clifford’s Tower. The room has two sofas, coffee table, dining table with four chairs, TV, DVD & VHS & a CD player. A door leads directly off the sitting room to the covered balcony.
Balcony
The large balcony, covered on three sides (and above) provides a superb opportunity for al fresco dining or alternatively for quiet reading or for simply to watch the busy and varied river traffic, in comfort. There is a table with seating for six and still enough room to move about comfortably.
Master Bedroom & en-suite
The master bedroom has twin (3ft) beds, which (subject to advance notice) can be made into an emperors sized bed. The bedroom with full sized windows looks out onto the balcony and the river beyond. There is also a full sized double wardrobe. To compliment this room is an en-suite with WC, wash hand basin, power shower and heated towel rail.
Bedroom 2
Equipped with a double bed, built in single wardrobe and small set of drawers, this bedroom also looks out onto the balcony and the river beyond.
Z Bed & Travel Cot
A Z Bed is available for an additional child under 6 years. There is also a travel cot provided.
House Bathroom
Bathroom with large bath, WC, wash hand basin and heated towel rail.
Car Parking
There is dedicated parking in the underground car park, this is for one car only. Access to the underground car park is via electrically operated security gates. Access to the apartment from the underground car park is made either via an elevator or front entrance. Please note that we give no guarantee as to the availability of the elevator.
Cycle Storage
A dedicated rack is provided within the underground car parking area for anyone wishing to bring a cycle on holiday.
